The biggest issue I have with Iams is the quality of ingredients. The ground corn will only increase the amount of stool he has already. California Natural is a good food but you may even need to go to a diet that might be less rich but still have all of the good ingredients.
A really good thing that helps with diarrhea is canned pumpkin, probably about 1 tablespoon added to his food will help solidify his stools.
Also, you did not mention if you have recently switched foods on him. If puppies (or dogs for that matter) are not switched slowly over to a different food that stomach and intestinal issues are more likely to occur. You always want to take at least 10 days to switch from one food to another.
I wouldn’t switch from California Natural to Iams. Has the vet checked for coccida or other bacteria?
